Every year, on 26th January, we Indians proudly celebrate Republic Day. This day is significant to every Indian because, in 1950, it was the same day that the Constitution of India came into effect, making India a republic and establishing the framework for its democratic governance.
So, every year, we celebrate this day with grand parades, cultural programs to depict our country’s rich cultural diversity and heritage, and patriotic fervour across the nation. The highlight has always been the grand parade held at Rajpath, New Delhi, where the President of India proudly unfurls the Indian national flag, and the tricolour gracefully rises against the sky. The Indian army dazzles the gathering with their grand parade. The cultural diversity and heritage of the country are showcased through various events and performances as a tribute to the values of our Indian Constitution, such as justice, equality, and liberty.
